Hearthwind · Development roadmap

THE ROADS AHEAD

Always another frontier.

We're building a side-scrolling fantasy idle RPG where every hunt, resource and crafted item contributes to a journey that keeps growing.

Development plans, not launch commitments. Features, scope and order may change. No release date has been announced.

What guides us

A world built for the long grind.

Our direction is solo-first, with meaningful crafting, permanent account progression and new discoveries beyond the first world.

01 / ENDLESS GROWTH

No designed level cap

Character progression should continue well beyond the content currently available.

02 / EARNED POWER

Gather. Craft. Improve.

Better equipment and account bonuses come from quests, monsters, gold and materials.

03 / FAIR MONETIZATION

Cosmetics only

Future real-money purchases change appearance, never combat strength or progression.

Milestones · No announced dates

The development journey.

These phases describe our priorities, not a timetable. Planned features are not necessarily playable today.

  1. FoundationIn progress

    Bring the adventure into Unity

Preserve the existing Hearthwind experience as we bring over inventory, equipment, character choices, gathering, quests and crafting. Restore in-world portals so players advance through Frontiers by exploring rather than relying on menus.

Current focus: a complete, reliable core gameplay loop.

  2. ProgressionPlanned

    Forge equipment worth earning

Develop class-specific weapons, equipment tiers, individual material-based enhancements, resource refinement, salvage and special guardian crafting schematics. Choosing a class will not simply hand out its signature weapon.

The exact number of tiers, enhancement ranks and recipes will be balanced during development.

  3. World 1 depthPlanned

Make Hearthwind a home that grows

Progress through town quests that restore workshops and unlock services. Discover the planned Frontier Lodge and earn permanent account-wide bonuses by turning in monster parts, gathered and refined resources, and regular gold.

New training paths and station upgrades should give players reasons to revisit earlier Frontiers.

  4. Release readinessPlanned

    Prepare for Steam Early Access

Harden account and save systems, verify Steam sign-in and purchase handling where applicable, test combat and economy balance, and improve stability, performance, accessibility and gameplay clarity before a public release.

Steam Early Access is a goal; no public release date or price has been set.

  5. Long-term visionFuture

New worlds. New towns. Shared adventures.

Expand beyond the first world with distinctive towns, creatures, materials, recipes and guardians. Explore guilds, leaderboards and limited-time cooperative dungeon queues; eventually, players may see other adventurers in the world without direct interaction.

Multiplayer will be introduced selectively and later; the solo experience remains central.

Still being shaped

A plan with room to discover.

Hearthwind is in development, and we intend to refine the details as we test its first-world systems. This roadmap will evolve with verified progress. Follow our development journal for confirmed updates.
